Cleaning & Maintenance

• We recommend spot cleaning your bag with a warm, damp cloth to remove dirt or stains. Washing a down sleeping bag will void the warranty, and improper cleaning can cause the down fill to clump, reducing its insulation.
• If a full wash is necessary, the best method is handwashing in a bathtub with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. Agitate gently, rinse thoroughly, and air dry—preferably in the sun.
• If you choose to machine wash, use a front-loading washer on a gentle cycle with a detergent made specifically for down. Avoid top-loading washers, as they can damage the bag.
• Air drying is the safest way to dry your ALTOS sleeping bag. If using a dryer, choose a commercial-size dryer on low heat and add tennis balls to help break up any clumps and restore loft.
