How do I get my sleeping bag back into it's stuff sack?Updated 6 months ago
To get your sleeping bag back into its stuff sack:
- Fold it, Don't Roll it: Fold the bag in half lengthwise but avoid rolling it as that adds bulk.
- Start with the Foot End: This way, you won't trap air in the bag while you stuff.
- Turn the Sack: As you put the bag in, turn the sack slightly with each stuff to fill it evenly.
- Drawstring and Protective Flap: Once the whole bag is in, pull the drawstring, tuck the round protective flap in, and ensure no part of the bag is exposed.
- Compress: Tighten the side straps, working around the compression sack.
When storing the sleeping bag long-term, avoid keeping it in a compressed state to preserve the fill.
Here’s a video demonstrating this process.
