What is the best way to store my ComfortLite Self Inflating Camp Pad?Updated 10 months ago
Best Storing Method
Whenever possible, store your pad fully inflated with the valves left open. Simply stow it under a bed or behind a couch to hide it away. This helps the foam in the pad maintain its memory of inflation and will fill much faster when it’s time to sleep on it. The valves should always be left open regardless of how it is stored. It should be kept in mild temperatures.
How to Inflate After Being Compressed
If it’s inconvenient to store the pad inflated, here is a tip for helping restore the foam’s memory:
- Step One: Open the valves on your pad and let it fill on its own for a moment.
- Step Two: Close the valves and begin rolling the air toward the bottom of the pad (rolling beginning at the valve’s end—reverse of pack away motion). The air already in the pad will fill force some memory back into the foam as it passes down the length of the pad.
- Step Three: When air reaches all the way to the bottom of the camp pad, open the valves again and let the pad resume filling itself.
This is also a great tip for the first time you use the pad after you’ve purchased it, since it will be compressed at that time.
