How do the Mountain Ultra poles hold up under a heavy-duty tarp? Can they handle a decent amount of weight for extended periods?

The poles on each of the Mountain Ultra Tents are designed to hold up the tent they are made for and can hold up great in inclement weather. However, it is not recommended that you use the tent with a heavy tarp for extended amounts of time.

What is the difference between total weight and trail weight of the Backpacking Tents?

The total weight includes everything that comes in the box for the tent. The trail weight is just the tent body, rainfly, and poles.

Can I fit a TETON Gear cot into the Mountain Ultra 2?

These tents are not designed to be used with cots. None of our cots will fit in the Mountain Ultra 2 – The end bars would push against the mesh of the tent walls, likely causing damage.

How many, and what size cots can I fit into a Mountain Ultra 3?

Two of our Adventurer cots can technically fit into a Mountain Ultra 3, but there will be no walking room. It would be tough to get in and out of the tent with the cots inside.

How many, and what size cots can I fit into a Mountain Ultra 4?

Two of our Adventurer cots can fit into a Mountain Ultra 4, without a whole lot of extra room left. Even though the floor dimensions make it seem as if a Universal would fit, the end bars would push into the mesh of the tent, likely causing damage.
